Private SUP Lesson
Learn how to SUP and get a workout of your choice!
Enjoy a private, semi-private, or group SUP lesson this summer! Tailored to your experience level and preferences, you will learn how to stand, turn, implement effective techniques, how to hold a paddle, general safety knowledge, cultivate balance, navigate currents, and more. Your instructor will help you identify your personal challenges and provide technique refinements that will help you paddle more effectively. They'll build upon your present skill set, adding advanced techniques for paddling straighter, faster and farther.
Sessions are 30-60 or 90 minutes long and a perfect opportunity to enjoy the water, practice your skills, learn to SUP, and overall, enjoy the SUP experience now and into the future.
You can choose:
30 minutes - general instruction on the water next to our dock in a small area. Great for learning balance, how to use a paddle, and general safety tips.
60 minutes - all of the above and a 30 minute paddle with instructor to put your new skills into practice and see some of our gorgeous North River.
90 minutes - all of the instruction and safety tips + a 60 minute guided paddle tour with instructor on the North River.
Classes must be booked 48 hours in advance. No walk-ins for instruction.
Age requirements: 12 (14 and under with parent/guardian)
For groups, call ahead to confirm group size and availability. Once approved, register and pay for each person for the allotted requested time.
Classes held weather and conditions permitting. Yup Sup reserves the right to cancel at any time for weather or condition concerns, in which case lessons are rescheduled or refunded.
