Sealed with a water-based food-safe lacquer. After use, wipe with a non-abrasive damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not immerse in water. 

For longer term protection, use a mineral-based oil to seal the wood and slightly darken the color.

Not suitable for microwave, oven, or dishwasher.
